Future-oriented architecture demands a responsible, resource-protecting and sensitive handling of our natura environment. But mankind’s need for quality of life cannot take a back seat either. Willen Associates Architects have numerous built numerous low energy, plus energy as well as passive architecture buildings for their users. We always work according to the motto “livable architecture” - an architecture that speaks for itself. Exposed, yet harmonically integrated with its surroundings – for us, not a contradiction but a necessity.
ARCHITECTURE IS OFTEN A SEARCH and an experiment
The goal is to understand the genius loci. To fulfill dreams, but also to accept the challenge of the always new and unique. Already at the beginning of the concept design phase we approach a project interdisciplinary and, together with our clients, formulate a project goal that accompanies the entire planning process. This red thread describes the basis of our design and architectural approach – from the whole to the detail, from the large to the small – always true to scale. The challenge here is not only to provide turnkey planning services, but services that go beyond that, up to choosing a client’s silverware.
